Hare Heads

The hares were Julie’s next step after her fox trophy heads. She started exploring the use of flat slabs of stoneware pushing and tearing edges to give texture and shape to the head and ears. Mounted on reclaimed wooden blocks to raise the ears away from the wall to create shadow and depth to the work.
